Ergonomic Resident Care
What you don't know can really hurt you.
If you've ever tweaked your back lifting something small the wrong way, you know how uncomfortable it can be. Well, imagine you were lifting a whole other person?
Lifting, transferring, bending, twisting... There are literally hundreds of ways care support staff can injure themselves at work every day.
Our certified Ergonomist can help reduce the number of injuries in your facility with a comprehensive and effective day-long in-service that teaches your staff the do's and don't's of physical movements.
The training program covers definitions and maximums for manual patient transfer, proper pivoting, basic body mechanics and more. They will also demonstrate upper extremity and spinal stretching techniques that promote a stronger, healthier worker.
